Generator batteries need to be connected to a battery charger so that they are ready when you need them most.

A generator battery charger is different than the battery chargers for your car. A generator battery charger is meant to keep your battery charged by supplying a precise "float" voltage to it.

This voltage should be neither too low, or your battery will be undercharged, nor should it be too high because it will shorten it's life.

MODEL 'CI1205C' - AUTOMATIC FLOAT CHARGER

  • Stainless steel for corrosion resistance

Electrically, the C-CHARGERŪ is a paragon of efficiency and simplicity.  It uses a ferroresonant transformer which, by its nature, is self-regulating and completely devoid of any complicated circuits that could possibly burn out.  There are no tubes or delicate electronics to fail or to cause radio frequency interference (RFI).

Voltage output to the batteries remains at a safe and constant DC level from full load to no load even if the AC power runs as high as 135 VAC or as low as 100 VAC.  All components are designed to operate safely and continuously in an ambient temperature as high as 125° F.
